Building Construction Technology Program Purchases New Equipment

The Building Construction Technology (BCT) Department at Â鶹ÊÓƵ recently purchased a mini excavator with the help of federal Perkins money. “This will be a great training tool for the students because this is the type of equipment they will be using when they go out on the job site,â€ said Bobby Roche, program director for BCT. “Without the tools, you can’t teach effectively.â€ Pictured with the excavator are, from left: Chad Teague, director of facilities management; Tucker Threlkeld of Ninety Six; Dr. Jack Bagwell, vice president for academic affairs; Kim Cox, grants accountant; Gail Carruth, accounts payable accountant; Caroline Chappell, grants administrator; Tara Lindley, BCT instructor; Bruce Tolbert, BCT instructor; and Kenneth McDaniel of Newberry.
